Support the Campaign

Public service announcements (PSAs) are educational messages designed to focus public attention on such serious issues as crime prevention. The National Citizens' Crime Prevention Campaign produces ads for television, radio, print (newspapers and magazines), out-of-home (billboards and posters), and the web.

Since 1980, McGruff the Crime Dog® has been the symbol for a nationwide effort to help Americans learn how to Take A Bite Out Of Crime® by making both themselves and their communities safer and better. PSAs are a visible part of this campaign. They have helped educate millions of adults and children and have changed attitudes and behaviors.
