The National Citizens' Crime Prevention Campaign produces ads for television, radio, print (newspapers and magazines), out-of-home (billboards and posters), and the Web. Since 1980, McGruff the Crime Dog® has been the symbol for a nationwide effort to help Americans learn how to Take A Bite Out Of Crime® by making both themselves and their communities safer and better. PSAs are a visible part of this campaign. They have helped educate millions of adults and children and have changed attitudes and behaviors.
